Add and Configure Button

Buttons can be added to the page to communicate an action that will occur when the user clicks them.

To add a button:

  1. Open the page elements menu from the left panel and select BUTTON.

Choose from the available button designs (Flat, Rounded, Link type) and drag-and-drop a suitable button panel onto the page.

Button Enhancements:

Select a Button Action

  1. Open URL on click of the button: 
    1. Enter a button name.
    2. Enter a Url address to open on click of the button.
    3. Choose a Target location to open the URL: a New Window or Same Window.   

  2. Trigger Custom Function on click of the button:
    1. Enter a button name.
    2. Select an application.
    3. Select a corresponding Custom Function.
    4. Enter a success message to be displayed, on successful execution of the function.

      Note:

      • Select function drop down lists all the custom functions created, in the chosen application. To view all the custom functions or add new, go to Application settings.

  3. Open Form on click of the button:
    1. Enter a button name.
    2. Select an application.
    3. Select a Form to open on click of button.
    4. Select a target window to open the Form.
  4. Open Report on click of the button:
    1. Enter a button name.
    2. Select an application.
    3. Select a Report to open on click of button.
    4. Select a target window to open the Report.

Configure text element in the button panel

To configure text element in the button panel:

  1. Click the text element and select Configure from the header menu.
  2. In the property sheet that opens, specify a custom text or a numeric value from the aggregate functions available.
    • To add Custom Text: Enter a text in the field provided
    • To add any one aggregate function
      1. Select COUNT to display total number of records.
      2. Select SUM to display the sum of values.
      3. Select MINIMUM to display the minimum of the selected values.
      4. Select MAXIMUM to display the maximum of the selected values.
      5. Select AVERAGE to display the average of the selected values.
      6. Select PERCENTAGE to display the proportional value of the field.
