Let’s say your customer pays you advance money for an estimate. In such a case, you can record the advance by creating a retainer invoice.
After you have created an estimate for a customer and it has been accepted by them, you can create a retainer invoice for the customer directly from the estimate. Here’s how you can do it:
- Go to Sales > Estimates.
- Select the estimate (in the Accepted status) for which you want to create a retainer invoice.
- Click More > Create Retainer Invoice.
