Zoho Projects, Asana, and Trello extensions in Zoho Mail

Zoho Projects

Zoho Projects is a Project management software for planning, tracking, and collaborating on projects and tasks with your team. eWidget supports Zoho Projects integration to aid you in managing your projects and tasks from Zoho Mail. Zoho Projects needs to be configured in order to use it in eWidget. 

Setting up Zoho Projects

  1. Login to your Zoho Mail Account.
  2. Go to Settings >> Integrations Card.
  3. Select Zoho Projects card.
  4. Choose a portal from the drop-down menu displayed.
  5. Zoho Projects integration will be enabled and listed in eWidget.

Using Zoho Projects Integration

After setting up, follow these steps to use the Zoho Projects integration in eWidget:

  1. Navigate to the eWidget icon on the bottom-right corner of your screen
  2. Select Zoho Projects from the app menu
  3. A list of Open Tasks from your recent project will be displayed by default. Click the drop-down menu beside My Open to select your preferred Task/Bug view.
  4. View the list of your Recent Projects and All Projects by clicking the drop-down menu in the header.
  5. Click the Add icon to create Task/Bug depending on the view you are in.

You can also create a task/bug from an email while using this integration in eWidget. The details in the email are populated and displayed in appropriate fields to create the ticket. Use the search option to find the tasks and bugs using its Name or Description. Add Comments and Attachments to a Task or bug and assign it to multiple people from eWidget.

Asana

Zoho Mail and Asana users can use this integration to create tasks from emails, set due dates and assign task owners within Zoho Mail through the eWidget.

You need to set up the Asana integration in Zoho Mail to use it in eWidget.

Setting up Asana Integration in eWidget:

  1. Login to your Zoho Mail account.
  2. Go to Settings >> Integrations card.
  3. Navigate to Asana and click on it.
  4. Click Authenticate.
  5. You will be redirected to the authentication page in Asana.
  6. Enter your credentials and click Log in to authenticate your account. 
  7. In Zoho Mail, select your Workspace from the drop-down menu under the Workspace selection section.

The Asana extension will be enabled and listed in the app menu in eWidget.

Using Asana extension in eWidget:

  1. Click on the eWidget  icon on the bottom-right corner of your mailbox.
  2. Select Asana from the eWidget app menu.
  3. You will have options to open, view, edit, create, and search tasks in that specific Workspace.
     

You can also access the Projects of that specific workspace and mark the tasks complete from the eWidget.

My Tasks:

This option lets you view, edit, and comment on the tasks assigned to you in the workspace. 

Create Task:

The tasks you create in the eWidget will directly be reflected in Asana.

  1. Select Asana from the app menu in the eWidget.
  2. Select Create New Task.
  3. Fill in all the necessary details in their respective fields and click Create.

You can also create a task from the email when the Asana integration is active. Click Create task in eWidget and the essential details will be pre-filled in the appropriate fields if available. 

Search Task:

You can use these two filter parameters in the Search for Task section to shorten your search.

Assignee - Person to whom the task was assigned to.

Name - Name of the Task.

Projects:

All your Projects associated with this particular workspace will be listed here. You can open and access the set of tasks under each project through this section.

Trello

Trello is a Project Management tool with options to create boards, lists, and cards to organize and prioritize your projects. You can add, view, access, and edit lists, and cards in Trello within Zoho Mail using eWidget.

Setting up Trello Extension in eWidget:

To use the Trello extension, you need to set it up in Zoho Mail Settings.

  1. Login to your Zoho Mail account.
  2. Go to Settings >> Integrations card.
  3. Navigate to Trello and click on it.
  4. Click Authenticate.
  5. You will be redirected to the authentication page in Trello.
  6. Click Log in and enter your credentials.
  7. When prompted for permission, click Allow to finish the authentication.

The Trello extension will be enabled and listed in the app menu in eWidget.

Using Trello extension in eWidget:

  1. Click on the eWidget  icon on the bottom-right corner of your mailbox.
  2. Select Trello from the eWidget app menu.
  3. Your Personal and Team boards in Trello will be displayed. 
  4. Choose the board you want to add or edit the list and cards in.
  5. You will have options to open, view, edit, add, and search lists and cards in eWidget.

Create a New Card in Trello:

The cards you create from eWidget will be reflected in Trello

  1. Select Trello from eWidget app menu
  2. Choose the Board >> List you want to create the card in.
  3. Click on the  add icon on the top bar
  4. Enter the card title and click Add Card
  5. The card will be added to the chosen list.
  6. Click on the Card to include further details like Description, Due date, etc and click Save Card to update it

eWidget also supports contextual integration in Trello which lets you create a card from an email when this extension is active. Open the email you want to add as a card, choose Trello from eWidget app menu and the essential details will be pre-filled in the appropriate fields if available. Once saved, the card is associated with the email and can be viewed alongside that email when Trello extension is active in eWidget.
