​Overview

Clearbit provides its customers with powerful data suite, which was procured by crawling and indexing websites and public information on companies as well as people with no interaction.To be more precise about the functionality of Clearbit, if you send an email address of a person or company domain via an API call, you will be provided with a bunch of valuable information about the input provided. On integrating Clearbit with SalesIQ you will be able to rate the visitors visiting your website thus narrowing down the visitor base to find the prospective ones. Ergo, integrating Clearbit with SalesIQ creates a powerful data reserve for the latter, thus escalating the throughput of your firm. 

The following sections will elaborately explain the functionalities of Clearbit.

Integrating your Zoho SalesIQ account with a Clearbit account

To unleash the roaring power of the data suite powered by Clearbit, it is neccessary to integrate your SalesIQ account with an existing Clearbit account. To do so follow the below specified steps,

  • Log into your Clearbit account.
  • Navigate to the API tab.
  • In the page that appears, you would find two secret API keys.
  • Copy the first secret API key.
  • Now revert back to your SalesIQ account.
  • Navigate through, Settings -> Integrations -> Other applications -> Clearbit.
  • Click on the button that says "Enable Clearbit".
  • Under the label "Let's configure", paste the copied API key.
  • Then click on "Update token".
  • After which you can choose a time frame after which you would like to refresh the existing Clearbit data.

Heads up !!

  • Integration of Clearbit with Zoho SalesIQ can be done only if you own a paid account of the latter. You can also avail this feature during the initial fifteen day trial of Zoho SalesIQ.
  • It is necessary that you own a Clearbit account beforehand.
  • And do remember that everytime you switch your Clearbit account's plans, it is necessary that you re-configure those changes inside your SalesIQ account. You  can do so by navigating through, Settings -> Integrations -> Clearbit, right below your secret API key, there will be an option Re-configure, click on it and the rest will be taken care of.
  • If Clearbit takes up an IP address as input and if it couldn't index it with any of the firm's data in the data reserve then details of that particular IP will not be displayed anywhere inside your SalesIQ account.
  • There might be situations where Clearbit would display "Might be" above the company profile inside SalesIQ, it means that it is a probable guess and Clearbit is not really sure about the indexing. 

Advanced configurations

After pairing your SalesIQ and Clearbit accounts, it is necessary that you specify a time frame after which you would like to refresh the existing Clearbit data associated with your SalesIQ account.

Tip ???

We would personally suggest you to choose 30 days as the time frame, so that Clearbit will have ample time to accumulate and replenish the existing data associated with your account.

To switch Clearbit accounts 

  • Log into the Clearbit account that you would like to integrate with your SalesIQ account.
  • Log into your Clearbit account.
  • In the page that appears, you would find two secret API keys.
  • Copy the first secret API key.
  • Now revert back to your SalesIQ account.
  • Navigate through Settings -> Integrations -> Clearbit​.
  • Under the label "Let's configure", paste the copied API key.
  • Then click on "Update token".
  • After which you can choose a time frame after which you would like to refresh the existing Clearbit data.

And that's it, your account will be switched and the configurations will be updated in a jiffy.

To disable Clearbit integration with your SalesIQ account

  • Navigate through Settings -> Integrations -> Clearbit.
  • Click on the "Disable" button, which you can find in the top right corner of the window. 

To enable the disabled Clearbit integration with your SalesIQ account

  • Navigate through Settings -> Integrations -> Clearbit.
  • Click on the "Enable" button, which you can find in the top right corner of the window.

Utilizing the integrated values and information

On integrating Clearbit with SalesIQ you will be presented with a humongous and powerful data reserve, the following sections will elaborately explain how and from where all you can access and utilize the data reserve,

Prioritize visitors based on Clearbit values

  • SalesIQ allows you to prioritize and filter your website visitors based on various Clearbit values. To avail this option,
  • Navigate to Visitors online tab.
  • Click on "Customize", which you can find in the top right corner of the window.
  • Click once on an already set condition to add a predefined metric associated with Clearbit integration, thus clubbing them together to filter out a single class of visitors using the binary operators "AND" and "OR".
  • Else click twice, choose the predefined option Clearbit.
  • Then choose an apt Clearbit metric depending upon your requirements and associate it with an appropriate value(s).
  • Following are the various predefined metrics that Clearbit provides the users with
  1. Alexa global rank
  2. Annual revenue
  3. Company headquarters
  4. Company type
  5. Fund raised
  6. Industry
  7. Market capital
  8. Number of employees
  9. Sector
  10. Tags
  11. Technology used
  • After which you have to click "Apply" to incorporate the changes made.

Routing visitors to users based on Clearbit values

SalesIQ allows you to route the visitor base to the users of your firm based on the various Clearbit values.

  • Navigate through, Settings -> Automation -> Visitor routing.
  • Click on the "Add" button which you can find in the top right corner of the window.
  • Under "Choose a condition" label, there would be drop down box, clicking on which you will be displayed with a bunch of predefined options, run through it to find an option "Clearbit".
  • Choosing which you will be provided with a bunch of predefined metrics which are as follows,
  1. Alexa global rank
  2. Annual revenue
  3. Company headquarters
  4. Company type
  5. Fund raised
  6. Industry
  7. Market capital
  8. Number of employees
  9. Sector
  10. Tags
  11. Technology used
  • Choose an apt metric depending upon your requirements, associate it with an appropriate value(s) then click on "Apply" to incorporate the changes made.

Configure triggers based on Clearbit values

SalesIQ allows you to configure triggers based on various Clearbit values, to do so 

  • Navigate through Settings -> Automation -> Intelligent triggers.
  • In the drop down box right below the label "When would you like to trigger the visitor", select the instant at which you would like to set the trigger off.
  • Once you are done, choose Clearbit option from the drop down box right below the label that says "Choose a condition and a criteria for the trigger" .
  • Now, choose an apt metric depending upon your requirements. following are the predefined metrics available,
  1. Alexa global rank
  2. Annual revenue
  3. Company headquarters
  4. Company type
  5. Fund raised
  6. Industry
  7. Market capital
  8. Number of employees
  9. Sector
  10. Tags
  11. Technology used
  • Once you've chosen an apt metric, you can associate it with an appropriate value(s).
  • After which choose a type of trigger that you would like to use and set the time after which you would like to set the trigger off. (Time frame after the user performs a particular configured action)

Viewing Clearbit data inside SalesIQ

User chat window

Every time you are involved in a chat session with your visitors, you can view enriched details about them on a pane onto your right. These details would vary depending upon the input given to SalesIQ. To switch between the views (Company info and Visitor info) click on the drop down box right below the general SalesIQ data provided.

Proactive chat window

 Enriched visitor data can also be viewed in the proactive chat window,

  • Navigate to Visitors online tab.
  • Click on a particular visitor whose details you would like to view.
  • Onto the right of the proactive chat window you can view the enriched details of that particular visitor.
  • If the visitor is a newbie and he/she did not specify his/her email address yet then based on the IP address of the visitor his/her company profile alone will be displayed.

Visitor history

Navigate to the Visitor history tab, Click on a particular visitor record. In the window that slides in, you can view the enriched visitor details which are as follows,

  • Company name or visitor name and geo location at the top of the window.
  • Below the standard SalesIQ data you might find two tabs namely Visitor details or Company info beside Behaviour tab depending upon the input given.
  • Clicking on which you can view the enriched related details.
