Migration guide for application

This section lets you locate and configure the general settings of your application in Creator 5 as given below:

Create new component

In the current version: Navigate to the ApplicationDashboard -> CreateNew on the left panel.

In Creator 5: Click the (+) icon in the header bar -> Choose the component that you want to create.


View components in an application

In the current version: Homepage -> Mouse over an application -> Edit -> View the forms, reports, and pages categorized under respective tabs.

In Creator 5: Homepage -> Mouse over an application -> Edit -> Click the drop-down next to application name in the header bar.


Search application components

In the current version: Search Bar is available in the application dashboard next to the app name.

In Creator 5: Navigate to the Homepage -> Mouse over an application -> Edit -> Click the drop-down next to application name in header bar. Search Bar appears on the component panel.


View all the applications in your account

In the current version: Click to the Home icon in the top-right corner of the header bar.

In Creator 5: Navigate to the Options icon on the top-left corner in the header bar -> View All.


Create sandbox

In the current version: Navigate to the ApplicationDashboard -> Sandbox -> Create Sandbox.

In Creator 5: Navigate to the Settings in the header bar ->Developer Tools -> Sandbox -> Create Sandbox.


Backup your application

In the current version: Navigate to the Application Dashboard -> Backups -> Take a backup now.

In Creator 5: Navigate to the Settings in the header bar -> Data Administration -> Backup -> Backupnow.


View usage logs

In the current version: Navigate to the ApplicationDashboard -> Usage Logs.

In Creator 5: Navigate to the Settings in the header bar -> Developer Tools -> Logs.


Set theme

In the current version: You must access the live application to change the theme of an application. To access:

Click Access the application in the header bar -> Click Settings icon displayed next to the profile name.

In Creator 5: Navigate to the Design page in the header bar -> Click Themes icon displayed on top of the component preview area.


Grant edit access to Zoho Creator support team

In the current version: To provide edit access:

Navigate to the Application Dashboard -> Click Help icon in the top-right corner of the header bar -> Choose Support -> Edit Access -> Allow edit access to support.

In Creator 5: The following are the ways that you can provide edit access to Zoho Creator support team.

  1. Access the application -> Click Help in the top-right corner -> Support -> Email -> Enter the details and click Submit Request to send an email to our support team.
    Keep the Please enable edit permission to help with troubleshooting box checked to grant edit access.
    (or)
  2. Access the application -> Click Help in the top-right corner -> Support -> Edit Access -> Click Enable edit access to grant permission to troubleshoot your application.

After the support team fixes the issue, you can revoke the access. If not, access will be revoked by default after 30 days.
