Enhancements in Zoho Travel - Online Booking [US Edition]

We've refreshed the Online Booking experience in Zoho Travel with cleaner search screens, easier fare comparison, flight details for each leg of your journey, and improved loading states across flight and hotel flows. Users will also see smoother interactions while moving through flight results, selecting fare options, and viewing each flight leg's details directly from the selected journey. Checkout now also includes clearer modals for price changes and booking confirmation, helping users complete bookings with better clarity.

New Settings Experience

We've revamped Settings in Zoho Expense to make it cleaner and easier to navigate. Settings now opens in a full-page view with a new app-branded header and is organized into Organization Settings, Module Settings and Integrations and Developer Space. Introducing Anomaly Detection in Analytics

You can now identify unusual spikes or drops in your trip expenses using Anomaly Detection in Analytics. This feature is currently supported for the Trip Expense Summary report and is available for line charts only. To view anomalies, switch to the Chart View and click View Anomaly.

Approve or Reject Reports and Trips from WhatsApp

Approvers can now approve or reject expense reports and trips directly from WhatsApp using quick reply buttons, Approve and Reject, along with a button to view full details in the notification. You can configure these under WhatsApp Notifications in Settings. Additionally, when a report or trip is forwarded to the next approver, they will receive a WhatsApp notification, helping them take action without delay.

Move Expenses Between Reports

You can now move expenses from one report to another directly from the report details page. You can move a single expense individually or move multiple expenses at once using the bulk option. Expenses can be moved only to reports that are in Draft, Recalled, or Rejected status.

You can request access to online booking and set up travel policies with booking limits and conditions. Based on these policies, employees will be warned or blocked when they try to make out-of-policy flight or hotel bookings. Cancel Batch Payments

Admins can now cancel an offline batch payment that is in Exported or Processed status. When a batch is cancelled, all the expense reports in that batch will be reverted from Reimbursed to Approved status. You can then create a new batch with the same reports or reimburse them individually.

Admins can now create custom reports in Analytics by applying filters, customizing columns and layouts, and saving them for future use. Manage Unreported Advance in Trip Cancellation

If there are any unreported advances associated in a trip during cancellation, you can now either mark the entire unreported advances as void or choose to retain the advance amount for your employee's future trip. You can also void the unreported advances later from the advance's details page. This feature is available only to users for whom advance approval is required.

Introducing Online Advance Payments [India and US Editions]

In addition to offline payments, you can now pay your employee advances online as well. Users using the India edition of Zoho Expense created under the zoho.in domain (a domain registered for use in India), can pay via ICICI, and HSBC, while the US edition users can pay via ACH using the Pay Advance option on the advance details page. This feature is only available for organizations where the Paid status is enabled for advances.

New Custom Approval Option in Purchase Requests

We have supported a new criterion Project Heads of Purchase Request Items in the custom approvals of the Purchase Requests module. When configured, the purchase request is submitted to the heads of the projects associated with the line items. If the line items are linked to different projects, the purchase request will be submitted to the respective project heads in the order of the line items. The purchase request will be marked as Approved after all project heads have given their approval.

Add Mastercards in Bulk for Real-Time Feeds [US, UK, and Canada Editions]

You can now add Mastercards in bulk to Zoho Expense and fetch feeds instantly. If you couldn't add your card to Zoho Expense individually as it supports only bulk enrolment, you can now submit a request to connect the corporate cards and fetch feeds directly from the card provider by providing the necessary details, including the Bank Name, Card Provider, and Number of Cards that needs to be added and we will contact you at your email address and assist you with adding the cards.

We've now introduced Real-Time Feeds for the Canada edition of Zoho Expense. Real-time feeds are card transactions that are received directly from card networks without relying on the bank, as soon as transactions occur. Real-Time Feeds is only available for users in Canada using the Canada edition of Zoho Expense with Mastercards issued in Canada.

Launching the all-new Germany edition in Zoho Expense! Android App Updates

Now, you can upload up to 5 receipts at a time for autoscan from third party applications. If you enter the odometer start reading to create a mileage expense and put the app to background or the phone shuts down, the next time you open the app, the odometer reading will be remembered and prefilled so that you can create a mileage expense with the same reading without having to enter it again. In the Approvals module, when you view a report PDF, you can now select a template by which you would like to view the PDF. Now create mileage expenses for Electric vehicles using your mobile app. When you create a mileage expense simply choose the fuel type as 'Electric'. Also, when you add new vehicles to your mileage policy, you can associate this new fuel type for electric vehicles.

Restrict Recalling a Submitted Report

We've introduced a setting to restrict the users from recalling a submitted report if one of the approvers in the approval flow approves the report. In an approval flow, there may be more than one designated approver to approve a report. If you enable this option, the users can't recall a report to make changes even if one approver in the approval flow approves the report. This way you could save the time and effort required to recheck the recalled reports after approval.

An all-new section, My Settings, for users to configure their preferences. Users can view their basic information and configure default values for expense and trip creation forms. Users can add travel details and travel documents like visa, passport, etc., to help the travel team with the booking process. While creating an expense, if you enter a new merchant, the merchant details will be saved. Later, when you create new expenses and select that merchant, the expense category will be auto-filled.
