  • What will be the time line for the migration process from Google to Zoho?

    The time line depends on the size of data you have in Google. The time taken to migrate a 25 GB Mailbox to Zoho is around 1 hour.

  • Is there a possibility of importing the existing emails from a PST file to Zoho email?

  • Will there be any downtime and is there any chance of missing certain emails?

    We generally recommend the change of DNS during a weekend when there will be very less email traffic. This will ensure that no emails are missed.

  • When to switch DNS (before or after migration)?

    We recommend you to point DNS first and then migrate emails to ensure none of the emails are left over.

  • How would the data centres work if you have worldwide clients but if the company is registered in Europe.

    We have regional data centres that cater for people from specific regions. European users will be using EU data centres by default. However your clients can still be using Zoho from other data centres which will work without any issues.

  • What is the storage capacity in GB for 1st 5 free mails?

  • We are already Zoho one subscription, Do we need to pay again for the Zoho Mail?

    Your Zoho One subscription includes Zoho Mail subscription. You need not pay again to start using Zoho Mail.

  • To do batch migration, would I have to go through the entire process that is shown in the migration process?

    You do not have to go through the entire process time. You can save the server details which can be used multiple times to make the migration process easy.

  • Is it possible to have half our employees in Gmail and the rest half in Zoho mail?

    Yes, we have an email routing option where you can have half users in Gmail and half users in Zoho.

  • can we access mail.example.com instead of mail.zoho.com ?

    Yes, it is possible. You may setup a custom login URL[mail.example.com, webmail.example.com, etc] for your organization and it is supported in all our paid plans.

  • In API migration, is it still necessary to change the DNS, MX or other configuration for the domain?

    Yes, migration is only to migrate emails. contacts and calendar. DNS settings have to be configured for the domain separately.

  • Is it possible to migrate email from Gmail to the Zoho Free service?

    You can migrate the emails from Gmail to Zoho free account.

  • How to convert Gmail labels to Zoho folders?

    When you migrate via IMAP or One Click migration, the Gmail labels will be migrated as Zoho Folders.

  • After migration has been completed, am I able to then disconnect myself from google workspace completely from my business?

    Yes, you can disconnect from Google workspace after migrating the data to Zoho successfully. Make sure to check if all the data has been migrated.

  • Can you use multiple domains on a single Zoho account?

    On paid plans, you can use multiple domains in the same account.

  • If my storage gets full in the middle of migration, what happens?

    You will have an option where you can choose to automatically stop the migration when the storage reaches 80% or 95%. When the storage reaches either of these chosen storage limits, You can either clear some unwanted emails and resume the migration or you can upgrade to one of the plans that allows you to have additional storage.

  • If the migration stops due to some technical issues, should I start the migration process again from scratch? If so, how can I filter the duplicate emails?

    If the migration stops due to technical issue, you will be able to resume the migration. Even when you redo the migration, the mails that are already fetched will not be fetched again. Hence you don't have to worry about duplicate emails.

  • In API migration, will I have options to avoid the migration of data such as contact and calendar?

    Yes,In API migration, you will be able to choose the data that you wish to migrate.

  • So how will this payment work? Do I choose my plan and add users and then pay? Or is it the other way around?

    You can sign up for the trial plan, add users, migrate and then go ahead with the payment.

    You can have limitless storage in Zoho mail. Though the maximum basic storage is 100 GB in Workplace Pro plan, you can avail multiple additional storage units and allot it to your users.

  • Can Mail Lite users upgrade storage if needed? We have around 20,000 users but only about 600+ need more storage than what the Mail-Lite plan allows

  • Can external parties outside the organisation access your files in Zoho Workplace in the same way you do with Google Drive?

    Files added to Zoho Work drive can be shared via a link with non-org members. Anyone on the internet can use the link to access the shared file.
