Are there any limitations to the custom fields I add for expenses and reports?

Yes, You should be keeping in mind the ‘number’ of custom fields you can create of a particular data type.

The maximum number of custom fields that can be created for each data type is given below:

For easy understanding let’s split the datatypes into four sections.

  • Section 1:

    • Text - 10
    • Autonumber - 1
    • Email - 1
    • URL - 1
    • Phone - 1
    • Dropdown - 1

Note: Sum of the custom fields created for the above mentioned datatypes should not exceed 10

  • Section 2:

    • Number - 4
    • Date - 2

Note: Sum of the custom fields created for the above mentioned datatypes should not exceed 6.

  • Section 3:

    • Amount - 2
    • Decimal - 2
    • Percent - 1

Note: Sum of the custom fields created for the above mentioned datatypes should not exceed 2.

  • Section 4:

    • Checkbox - 1

Note: Sum of the custom fields created for the above mentioned datatypes should not exceed 1.
