How to make users attach a required document while requesting an advance?

You can make users add attachments while requesting an advance by creating an Attachment custom field in advance creation forms and making it mandatory. Once this is done, an attachment field will be displayed in all the advance forms and when the user requests an advance, they will have to attach the document to that field to submit the request. To add the custom field in advances:

  1. Log in to Zoho Expense.

  2. Navigate to Admin View > Settings > Modules > Advances.

  3. Click the Fields tab and click + New Field in the top right corner.

  4. Enter the Label Name, select the Data Type as Attachment, and select the File Type.

  5. Select Yes, under the Is Mandatory field.

  6. Click Save. The custom field will be added in all the advance forms. In addition to this, you can also set up a custom approval flow for advances to auto-reject the advances that do not have documents attached. This will allow users to attach documents mandatorily while requesting advances.
