At Zoho Subscriptions, it’s all about simplifying your subscription billing. In fact, this is the driving force behind the Zoho Subscriptions and Zapier integration. It’s only been a year since these two joined forces, and there are already hundreds of Zaps flying around and saving our customers time.
As our customers’ usage of Zapier increased, they also needed more triggers to connect different apps. We thought that it was time we gave this integration some extra superpowers in the form of three new triggers and an action.
- New Invoice
- Upgrade Subscription
- Downgrade Subscription
- Search action
Now, assuming that you’ve all read about our integration with Zapier and how it works, I’m just going to dive into some scenarios to give you an idea of how these new triggers can be used to make your life and business more productive.
Trigger 1: New Invoice
As your customer base increases and so do your subscriptions, you will need to automate pushing data from Zoho Subscriptions to your accounting software. The New Invoice trigger will connect Zoho Subscriptions with an accounting application like QuickBooks, and automatically push all your invoices from Zoho Subscriptions to the accounting application as they’re created. In today’s world, nobody’s got time to manually export and import invoice from one system to another so this nifty Zap will save you hours of repeat work.
Trigger 2: Upgrade Subscription
This trigger can be used to notify customers when they upgrade their subscription. Create a Zap by connecting Zoho Subscriptions and Twilio to trigger a text message (SMS) to your customers every time an upgrade happens.
Some of you might be wondering, “Why SMS and not email?” While email is also widely used, SMS has a high read-rate and is more mobile-friendly than email.
Trigger 3: Downgrade Subscription
Customer downgrades can make a dent in your revenue, and it is always wise to know why your customers decided to downgrade.
Connect Zoho Subscriptions with an email application like Gmail to trigger an email with a questionnaire to your customers when they downgrade. Using their responses, you can work on the areas that need improvement.
The new Search Customer action in Zoho Subscriptions allows you to pick the right customer out of the haystack with your Zaps. Search for a customer in your organization, then use that result in the next step of the Zap.
Now that you’ve heard about the new Zaps, go try them out for yourself and tell us about how your favorite Zaps have optimized your workflow.
Hope to see you again soon.
