Zoho Creator rolls out Payment Module, Organizational Sharing and Google Forms Import

If you’ve been using

Zoho Creator
regularly, you would have noticed that enhancements and new feature additions are constantly happening.. Our recent update contains some noteworthy new additions that we are sure you’d love to use. Here are the details.

Accept Payments and Donations – Introducing the Payment Module:

Zoho Creator now includes a payment module integrated with PayPal Gateway. Using the payment module in your applications, you can collect payments and donations from your customers. You simply have to create a dedicated form – the payments form and tie it up with your PayPal account. Your customers can pay using their PayPal accounts or credit cards once they have placed their order.

You can also collect donations using the payment forms. Donations can be collected on a one time or recurring basis. Accepting donations will be taken care of by the payments form with a slight modification – they will be marked as donation forms and will be handled accordingly in Paypal as well.

Payment and donation forms can also be embedded in your websites and to reach out to your audience in a more effective manner.

Share seamlessly within your organization – Organization Level Sharing:

For users deploying custom built Zoho Creator applications across the different departments in their organization, there couldn’t be better news. Organizational Level Sharing lets you share applications to all the users in your organization without having to explicitly type out each person’s email id. For any organization, there will be a dedicated workspace and a verified administrator. The administrator can nominate developers and users for that workspace. Developers can create applications in the workspace and share it within the organization while the users can access the applications shared to them.

An extension of the organization level sharing, is the domain level sharing. This type of sharing lets you, share an application to any user with the same domain email id. For ex: A user with a Zillum Inc email id as his registered id in Zoho Creator can share his application to anyone across the globe having a Zillium Inc id.

And while you are checking out these new enhancements.. do spare a thought for our Sharing Interface, that has undergone a complete image makeover..

Google Docs users can now import their forms from Google Docs and build full fledged business applications around their forms. When you import your form from Google Docs, Zoho Creator will import all the data present in the Google Form and also create a basic skeleton application. You can then modify your application to include all the workflow and business rules that you need. Read all about it

As always, these are just the highlights.. There are more enhancements, big and small, making their way into the platform each day. Do try out these and let us know how you like them. And oh.. don’t forget to keep an eye out for the newer ones as well.

  1. joel,
We do not support a full fledged shopping cart functionality. If users will just select multiple items, without specifying item-wise quantity, we have a mechanism for allowing them to choose multiple items from a list and send the total amount while checking out. Please contact us at support@zohocreator.com for any assistance in this regard.

  2. mark.superjuke,
Yes. It is indeed possible. When payment takes place, the payment details are received from Paypal. These details will be stored in Creator, mapped to the originating record. Further, the On-Success script is called, enabling you to specify your own order-processing logic. Please check the help document at https://help.creator.zoho.com/Accept-Payments-through-Forms.html. Feel free to contact support@zohocreator.com for any assistance.

  3. Our Zoho application is used for online bookings. At the moment when a customer makes a payment their booking/payment details are carried forward in the URL and placed in the payment gateway for payment by credit card or PayPal etc.. This works well, however the booking/payment detail information is one way traffic. We then need to match the payments (which we can do easily because of a carried forward transaction ID) with the booking in order to manually issue a receipt acknowledgment of payment. My question is that with your new Payment Module using PayPal and c/cards, is there a way whereby the ZC application will be able to acknowledge the payment, and we can automatically issue a receipt. In other words, a customer clicks on the payment link (as they do currently) and are transferred to the payment module (as they do currently) they make the payment but the payment confirmation details are then recognised by the ZC application and an auto email is sent as a confirmation receipt. Setting up auto emails is not the issue here so I hope I am explaining myself, the issue is does the Payment Module talk back to the application and recognise the payment in a way that can be used to issue a receipt ... just like a shopping cart
    Regards

  4. jfranc,Yes, it is possible by asking your customers to send the email to your helpdesk application's form email address. Take a read, or write to support@zohocreator.com for assistance.

  5. WOW - I was just about to buy this functionality somewhere else - now I can integrate it with my other work.
    Question
Can I build in crm information into the script. I would like to add the buyer to my crm data base when they buy. Thanks
