Publishing flexibility
Developers have the flexibility to choose how they publish their extensions, privately or publicly.
- Privately: Extensions can be shared exclusively within an organization, making them available only to specified users. This is ideal for businesses that want to extend app functionality while maintaining exclusivity.
- Publicly: Extensions can be made available in Zoho Marketplace once developed, allowing any Zoho Finance application user to download and benefit from them.
Version management
The Developer Portal provides the option to manage different versions of extensions. Developers can deprecate or install specific versions, ensuring smooth transitions and updates for users.
The best part is that developers have the freedom to publish their extensions in Zoho Marketplace at no cost. You can choose whether to offer your extensions for free or charge users for their installation, providing you with monetization opportunities.
Getting started
Before you can start building your extensions in the Developer Portal, you'll have to follow the steps below:
- Create a Zoho Developer account.
- Add a workspace in Zoho Sigma.
- Create an extension in Zoho Sigma.
- Access the Developer Portal by clicking Edit Extension next to the extension created in Zoho Sigma.
