What is a Payment ID in Zoho Payments? Is it the same as the ID found in my Zoho Finance applications?

Every transaction processed through Zoho Payments has a unique gateway transaction ID. In Zoho Payments, this ID is referred to as the Payment ID, whereas, in the Payments Received module of your Zoho Finance applications, it appears as the Reference Number. You can use this ID to track payments across your Zoho Finance applications.
