End User Terms for Instant Account Verification
and Risk Assessment

Zoho uses third party service providers to perform instant bank account verification and risk assessment to determine your eligibility to use the Zoho Payments ("Verification and Assessment"). The following terms and conditions will apply to you when Verification and Assessment is done using third party service providers.

Plaid

In the event you use Plaid for Verification and Assessment, the following terms and conditions will apply.

  • You may be required by Plaid to share your banking credentials of the account you desire to link with Zoho Payments ("Destination Account") in case your bank does not support open banking. Plaid will use banking credentials to (i) verify your Destination Account (ii) collect financial information from your Destination Account such as transaction details and balance available in the Destination Account from the relevant financial institution ("Account Data").
  • Internet banking credentials you provide to Plaid and Account Data collected by Plaid will be processed by Plaid according to their privacy policy.
  • You authorize Zoho to periodically collect Account Data from Plaid in order to evaluate credit risk, fraud risk and other associated risks to Zoho.
  • Zoho shall not be liable for any damages (direct or indirect) that you may suffer in connection with Plaid's use of your internet banking credentials and Account Data.
  • In the event you desire to restrict Zoho from collecting Account Data from Plaid in connection with Verification and Risk Assessment, write to support@zohopay.com to submit your opt-out request.
  • Zoho reserves the right to temporarily or permanently discontinue use of Plaid for Verification and Assessment without any prior notice.
