How do I record payments for bills imported in the XML format ?

In Zoho Books, you can record the payment made for two types of invoices sent by your vendor:

PPD Invoices for Installments or Deferred Payments

To record payment for a PPD invoice: 

  • Import the XML file in the Bills module.
  • Make the payment online or offline to your vendor.
  • Import the payment receipt shared by the vendor in the Payments Made module.

The payment will be recorded for the bill.

PUE Invoices for Single Payment

To record payment for a PUE invoice:

  • Import the XML file in the Bills module.The imported bill will be in the Draft status.
  • Import the same XML file in the Payments Made module.

The payment will be recorded for the bill.

Pro Tip: You can also record the payment made by clicking the Record Payment option on the bill instead of importing it once again in the Payments Made section.
