How do I record payments for bills imported in the XML format ?

In Zoho Books, you can record the payment made for two types of invoices sent by your vendor:

PPD Invoices for Installments or Deferred Payments

To record payment for a PPD invoice:

Import the XML file in the Bills module.
Make the payment online or offline to your vendor.
Import the payment receipt shared by the vendor in the Payments Made module.

The payment will be recorded for the bill.

PUE Invoices for Single Payment

To record payment for a PUE invoice:

Import the XML file in the Bills module.The imported bill will be in the Draft status.
Import the same XML file in the Payments Made module.

The payment will be recorded for the bill.

Pro Tip: You can also record the payment made by clicking the Record Payment option on the bill instead of importing it once again in the Payments Made section.
