Zoho Solo 2025 recap: The tools that put solopreneurs in control

Zoho Solo : 2025 recap

Every solo business starts with an idea that slowly grows into something bigger. As that growth happens, so do the responsibilities of running everything on your own. In 2025, Solo focused on supporting that journey more thoughtfully.

This was a year of listening closely to how solopreneurs actually work and refining Solo around those real needs. Solo grew stronger as a workspace that supports how you plan, work, bill, organize, and grow.

Each update has a clear purpose: not to pile on more features but to remove friction, bring order to your day, and give you the headspace you deserve.

Here's a look back at how far we traveled together.

Making everyday work feel lighter

This year, Solo sharpened its foundation. The everyday essentials that keep your business moving became smoother, smarter, and easier to rely on.

Notes that fit the way you think

Whether it was a quick client brief, a project outline, or a new idea that appeared out of nowhere, Notes became that always-ready space where your ideas stayed organized and easy to revisit with the right context captured alongside them—simple, clean, and built for the way solopreneurs work.

A timer that captures the real story of your day

Time tracking isn't just about counting minutes; it's about understanding your effort. With Timer, every tracked entry is captured as timesheets, giving you a clear view of where your time goes. These timesheets can be added directly to invoices, making billing more transparent.

Your documents stay where they belong

From proposals and receipts to contracts and reference files, everything now has a dedicated space inside the new Files module. You no longer need to dig through emails or scattered folders. Your business documents stay organized and easy to access inside Solo.

A timeline that remembers everything

The Activity Log quietly keeps track of every change: Notes added, Timers tracked, Expenses recorded, Items created, Invoices updated, and Files uploaded. You always have a clear view of what happened and when.

Your data stays in your control

Take your Solo setup anywhere. Whether you need backups, external audits, or smooth migrations, data export makes sure your information moves with you in a clean and structured way.

Expenses that reveal your real spending patterns

The new Expense by Category report shows exactly where your money goes. It makes budgeting clearer, tax preparation calmer, and spending habits easier to understand.

A workspace that travels with you

Your work moves with you, from desk to couch to client meetings and everywhere in between—which is why, this year, we focused on giving you a better experience across every device you work on.

A bigger canvas for bigger ideas

Solo officially arrived on iPad and Android tablets this year. The larger layout gives you a more spacious and desktop-like workspace. Navigation feels smooth, making it easier to get a complete view of your work and plan with accuracy.

Made for the newest Apple experience

With the iOS 26 update, Solo became faster, cleaner, and even more intuitive. Your workflows stays fluid across all your Apple devices.

Reaching new corners of the world

This year marked a new chapter as Solo shaped itself to meet the unique needs of different regions. Each region brought its own needs, and Solo adapted to them with precision.

South Africa

Solo launched in South Africa with support for local payment gateways so solopreneurs can get paid in a way that feels native and dependable.

Europe

Solo expanded into the EU with region-specific taxation support so freelancers can stay compliant without stress.

Canada

Canada saw an important update this year with the introduction of Canadian French language support so Solo feels natural for more users.

Mexico

A significant step forward, Solo now supports the Spanish language, local taxation rules, and e-invoicing so solopreneurs in Mexico have everything they need in one place.

Colombia

Solo now offers Spanish language support and regional taxation, making it a reliable tool for Colombian businesses.

Solo did not simply expand; it localized, adapted, and learned from the solopreneurs who use it around the world.

Speaking your language

Solo broadened its language support this year. In addition to previous languages, Solo now supports Vietnamese, Thai, and French, making it easier for you to work in the language you're most comfortable with and keep your business running smoothly.

Showing up for the community

At events like SMZ and the AI Conference 2025, we had the chance to meet the creators, consultants, designers, and doers who shape the future of Solo. Hearing your stories reminded us why we build. Solo is not just a product; it's built to stand beside people who choose to build on their own.

A year built with intention

Looking back, 2025 was not defined by how many features were launched—it was defined by the intention behind each one. If this year was about strengthening your foundation, the next one will be about expanding your possibilities.

Thank you for your trust in Solo. Here's to the year ahead and building better ways to work solo!
