Five Reasons Why I Deserve the Nobel Peace Prize

1. I mind my own business (mostly), except when I blog

2. I haven't yet tried to start any wars, if you don't count my posts against Salesforce (do price wars count?)

3. I have traveled to four countries (yes, FOUR DIFFERENT COUNTRIES!) in the last year

4. I recently watched a Japanese samurai movie with sub-titles and I felt really sad (really) for the guys who were getting their heads chopped

5. I tried to negotiate a peace treaty between our Windows users and Mac users recently, and I barely escaped with my life

I hope the Nobel committee would do only what is fair and just, and recognize my achievements. After all, I have even heard of "War and Piece", the German book.

Zoho as a company did not make this statement, this is Sridhar's personal opinion. Why is it so terrible, as a member of an organization or company, to have an opinion about something?I also agree with his sentiment. When did the Nobel Peace Prize go from being a reward for past actions to an encouragement of possible future actions?

  3. Now, Now, Now... Who do you think you are Gandhi!, I mean ... Oh WAIT!!! The committee never did give him the Peace Prize either... You're right, YOU DESERVE IT!

  5. The members of zoho should be proud to have a boss that is not afraid of thinking and is not shy to speak out the obvious, even when blind sheep hate him for it. I am working in a big international american company and there is no way the big boss would say anything like it.
    Thanks

  7. Yes, its premature to give it to him for getting elected. If the only criteria is that he did not nuke anyone, then he or Putin or the current Israeli PM, French President or someone similar should be given the same one after the other with an American President once every 4 years, the others can fill the gaps.

  9. I don't know why some people can not bear different comments about their president. If it's only because of blind patriotism, I can understand. If you want to unsubscribe just because of the different voice, then go ahead, who cares? and you think that country would ban Zoho? no way! Even the president himself got elected with the support of businessmen. Politics is not so important today. This is the business world. Sridhar just said what's on most people's mind. What can that president do for the benefit of the whole world in the real sense? He's merely an orator of hyped - up rhetoric.

  13. I don't think he is making fun about Obama. It's more the question how they decide who gets the price...
I bet there are hundreds of people who deserve it more then Obama. He probably deserves it in 5 year. But lets see if he can be the US president without nr. 2... We will see...
