How a normal document signing workflow goes

Zoho Sign never asks its users to download a file or enter an alphanumeric code to sign a document. A typical document signing process in Zoho Sign involves the following steps:

  • The signer clicks the link that they received by email or SMS. The link always starts with sign.zoho.xxx/.

  • If a one-time password (OTP) is enforced, the signer enters it to access the document.

  • Once they have gone through the document content, the signer can add their signature.

How to report a scam to Zoho Sign

At Zoho Sign, we work continuously with both our in-house and third-party experts to safeguard our solution from spammers. We even restrict advanced features like Bulk Send and other automations for newly opened accounts as a precaution.

We believe that it is also essential to raise awareness among our users to avoid scams.

The best way to stop a scam is to be aware and report it as abuse.

  • Remember that Zoho Sign or any personnel from Zoho Sign would never ask you to enter an alphanumeric code to access the document.

  • Finally, never share your personally identifiable information (PII) with your sender or in Zoho Sign, unless your sender has enforced knowledge-based authentication.
