Zoho Mail provides multiple options to verify your domain ownership and configure email delivery in Shopify.

Add TXT Records for Verification

To add a TXT record and verify your domain, do these steps:

  1. Login to your Shopify Admin account.
  2. Go to Settings and select Domains.
  3. Click the domain for which you need to add a TXT record.
  4. Click Domain settings and then select Edit DNS settings.
  5. Click Add custom record and then select the record type as TXT record.
  6. Enter the details for your TXT record.
    • In the Host field, enter
    • In the TXT Value field, enter the TXT value generated in the Zoho Mail Admin Console
  7. Click Confirm.
  8. Click Verify TXT from Admin Console.
  9. If the DNS information is correctly propagated, the domain will be verified. You can proceed with the next steps to create user accounts.
If domain verification fails, wait for an hour to two for the TXT record to propagate.

Add CNAME Records for Verification

To verify your domain using CNAME record, do these steps:

  1. Login to your Shopify Admin account.
  2. Go to Settings and select Domains.
  3. Click the domain for which you need to add a CNAME record.
  4. Click Domain settings and then select Edit DNS settings.
  5. Click Add Custom record and then select the record type as CNAME record.
  6. Specify the Host Name as the code generated in your Zoho's domain verification page (Example: zb12345678).
  7. Specify Points to as the value from the CNAME Value/ Points To/ Destination field of your Zoho Mail Admin Console.
  8. Click Confirm.

After you have saved these settings, check if the CNAME in Shopify matches with zmverify.zoho.com. Since your CNAME depends on the region where your Zoho Mail account is set up, it varies between accounts.

If the CNAME does not match with the records in your Shopify account, click Edit DNS Settings and enter the CNAME as mentioned above.

Your CNAME Records will now be added successfully. However, you might have to wait for a while for the changes to take effect in the DNS Servers. After an hour or two, log into your Zoho Mail Admin Console and click Verify CNAME. After your DNS record values change and your domain is verified, you can start creating and adding the users.

If domain verification fails, wait for an hour to two for the CNAME record to propagate.
