I’m unable to push an invoice to IRP as it states that the customer’s GSTIN is inactive or cancelled. What should I do?
If the GSTIN is inactive or if it is cancelled, you will not be able to push the invoices to IRP. To verify the status of your GSTIN:
- Go to Invoice Registration Portal.
- Click the dropdown Search and select Tax Payer / GSTIN.
- Enter the GSTIN and captcha.
- Click Go.
You can view the status of your customer’s GSTIN under Status.
Pro tip:If the GSTIN is active in the GSTIN portal and if the same is inactive in the e-Invoicing portal, click Update from GST Common Portal to update the GSTIN status.
Once the status changes to active, you can push the invoices to IRP again.
