Business Rates Holiday for Nurseries — England only

Nurseries in England do not have to pay business rates for the 2020-21 tax year.

Eligibility criteria

Properties that will benefit from the relief will be those occupied by providers which are on Ofsted’s Early Years Register and which are wholly or mainly used for the provision of the Early Years Foundation Stage.

How to access it

There is no action required from you. Local authorities will apply the business rates holiday to your bills.

Duration

Local authorities will need to collect details from small businesses in order to be able to make payments. They will be in touch with all eligible businesses shortly.
