Zoho Office API

Pricing

The Zoho API program is geared towards providing partners, non-profit organizations and end customers with a straightforward way of integrating various Zoho apps into your existing applications, services or work environment.

We provide a free version with some limitations that may be suitable for your requirements. This is primarily aimed at partners who are in the process of developing their solution with Zoho APIs and early-adopters who anticipate a lower volume of usage.

The fee-based APIs give partners and customers a commercial relationship with Zoho Corp and a business-focused approach to API integration. Partners will have access to a customized API dashboard that includes information on their API account, usage, as well as billing and payment details. The fee-based APIs also provide secure document access, real-time collaboration and remote presentation features.

Pricing - FAQs

  • What is a User Document Session [UDS]?

A single document opened in Zoho service editor (e.g. Writer) equals "one user document session or 1 UDS".

  • How do I calculate my API Usage in terms of UDS (User Document Sessions)?

The UDS counter is updated by 1 with every new request sent to Zoho for opening the document. So, if you open 5 different word documents (one at a time), it will be counted as 5 UDS. Similarly, a single document opened multiple times (say 5) will equal 5 UDS. To reiterate, the API usage depends on the number of requests sent to Zoho for opening the document. Each request is unique, valid for a single browser session and independent of other requests. Also, we do not count 'Save' as part of UDS count. You can do multiple save operations in a single document session.Read more..less content..

  • How do I know how many User Document Sessions I need?

On an average, we find that a percentage of users (maybe 10-15%) will regularly use an integrated Zoho service and of that portion, the number of User Document sessions falls into the categories we have provided in the tables above. (500 "regular users per month for Level 1, 1000 regular users a month for level 2 and 2500 regular users per month for level 3). Partners should estimate or count the number of users they have for their existing or planned services and plan accordingly. Zoho will work with each partner to ensure that the appropriate plan is selected over time and ensure that the pricing plan stays within budget.Read more..less content..

  • How do I upgrade our partner account or apply for extra UDS?

Once a Partner exceeds their monthly plan level, they will be notified via e-mail by the Zoho API team. After two consecutive months of plan excess the partner will be asked to upgrade their account with additional usage levels based on their need and ability to pay for additional UDS in 1000, 2500 or 5000 unit increments or higher levels. Upgrades can be made online via secure payment gateway.Read more..less content..

  • What if we exceed our plan and don't upgrade?

The program allows a two month "grace period" for exceeding the plan level. Once the subscribed plan level is exceeded and the partner fails to upgrade plans or subscribe to additional UDS sessions within this grace period, the API service may be interrupted. Zoho API team will send a notification via e-mail and contact the partner to ensure that the partner has ample time to upgrade.Read more..less content..
