Docs to WorkDrive migration - For paid organizations

Paid Docs org with no WorkDrive account

  • Your current Zoho Docs' Standard or Premium plan will be mapped with WorkDrive's Team or Business plan respectively with no extra cost.
  • All Docs user licenses will be moved to WorkDrive. Your WorkDrive account will have the same {monthly/yearly} subscription and validity up to {date} as your Docs account.
  • If you have purchased a storage add-on in Docs, the equivalent add-on will be added to your WorkDrive account.
  • All org users and their data will be migrated from Docs to WorkDrive. Deactivated users in Docs will also be migrated and their status will remain suspended in WorkDrive.

Migration steps:

  1. Sign in to your Zoho Docs account.
  2. Click the Settings icon at the top-right corner, then select Admin Panel.
  3. Click the WorkDrive Migration tab.
  4. Click Set up your team. A setup dialog box will open showing all existing users and their data.
  5. Click Continue. A new team will be automatically created in WorkDrive with the same Org name and users in Zoho Docs.
  6. Click Schedule Migration.
  7. Select the required date and time to schedule your migration.
  8. Click Proceed Scheduled Migration to migrate all users and their data, as per the schedule. A new screen will open, informing you that the migration has been scheduled on the given date and time.

Note: 
If you want to cancel the scheduled migration, click Cancel Migration. To see user details like name, total size, and file count, click Details.
Post migration, you must add your card details in the payments page for your future WorkDrive subscription renewal.
 

Paid Docs org with WorkDrive trial

  • Your current Zoho Docs' Standard or Premium plan will be mapped with WorkDrive's Team or Business plan respectively with no extra cost.
  • All Docs user licenses will be moved to WorkDrive. Your WorkDrive account will have the same {monthly/yearly} subscription and validity up to {date} as your Docs account.

  • All org users and their data will be migrated from Docs to WorkDrive. Deactivated users in Docs will also be migrated and their status will remain as suspended in WorkDrive.

  • All your organization data and their users from Docs will be migrated to the existing WorkDrive team account. Suspended users in Docs will also be migrated and their status will remain the same in WorkDrive.
  • Your current Zoho Docs' {Standard/Premium} plan will be downgraded. You may contact WorkDrive Support for any refund from your Docs subscription.
  • Check here to know the storage provided by WorkDrive's {Starter/Team/Business} plan for your organization.
  • If your purchased user licenses are less than the active users in WorkDrive (after migration from Docs), you must purchase additional licenses.

Migration steps:

  1. Sign in to your Zoho Docs account.
  2. Click the Settings icon at the top-right corner, then select Admin Panel.
  3. Click the WorkDrive Migration tab.
    The Team associated with the super admin will be selected automatically. If you are part of more than one team, you can change the team if required.
  4. Click Schedule Migration.
  5. Select the required date and time to schedule your migration.
  6. Click Proceed Scheduled Migration to migrate all users and their data, as per the schedule.

Paid Docs org with free Essentials plan in WorkDrive

(For Essentials plan created via integration or by downgrading a paid WorkDrive plan)

  • Your current Zoho Docs' Standard or Premium plan will be mapped to WorkDrive's Team or Business plan respectively with no extra cost.
  • All Docs user licenses will be moved to WorkDrive. Your WorkDrive account will have the same {monthly/yearly} subscription and validity up to {date} as your Docs account.
  • All users and their data will be migrated from Docs to WorkDrive. Deactivated users in Docs will also be migrated and their status will remain suspended in WorkDrive.
  • If you have purchased a storage add-on in Docs, the equivalent add-on will be added to your WorkDrive account.

My WorkDrive team subscription has expired, how can I migrate now?

  • Upgrade your WorkDrive account and then migrate your data from Docs to WorkDrive.
     
  • Post migration, you can downgrade your Docs account and get an applicable refund for the remaining period by contacting WorkDrive Support.
     
  • If you do not wish to upgrade your existing WorkDrive team account, you can do one of the following:
    Delete the team and set up a new team
    Move your team to the free Essentials plan
