Zoho Docs makes it easy for you to share files online easily and securely with its easy to use sharing functionalities.
Once you click on 'share', the file will be shared with the users and they will be notified about the sharing via a notification email. Shared users can access the shared file by clicking on the link in from the notification email or by clicking on the 'Shared To Me' option in their Zoho Docs home page.
All the files you have stored in Zoho Docs have an unique perma-link which can be used to access it (based on the document visibility settings which you have set). You can share the perma-link with other users, and set the visibility of the file accordingly.
By default the visibility of a document is set to private. To change the visibility of a file :
Collaborators Only : will make the file available only to those who has been explicitly granted permission to the file. (Secure shared)
Everyone in Organization : will make the file available only to the 'members of your organization' who has the perma-link of the file.
You can make the file visible & accessible to all the members of your organization by checking the 'Allow everyone to find and access' check box.
Public on the web with password-protect : will make the file accessible to anyone (even non Zoho users) who has the perma link of the file and password set by the author of the document.

There might be some documents that contain confidential information and the people who you want to share the document with might be non-Zoho users. To ensure that your document information is safe and can be accessed only by certain users you choose to share it with, Zoho Docs provides you with a password-protect option. You can password protect a file by entering a password for the file. You can send the file link through an email and the person the file link has been sent to can view the file only on entering the password set by you, for which they will have to personally contact you.
In Zoho Docs, you can create groups and invite friends, colleagues, team members and share unlimited files with groups, Chat, Edit documents with the group members in real-time and do more.
The Group members will be notified about the file sharing and they can access the shared documents by clicking on the Group name (available in the left menu).
You can change the visibility settings of a file, add / remove / change / view permissions of the shared users at any time.
