Update: Google-Zoho Cr-48 Giveaways

We recently announced this joint promotion event with Google to give away Cr-48 Notebooks to Zoho users. The results are now out. A number of Zoho users were selected from this promotion program. UPS will be delivering Cr-48 Chrome Notebooks to select Zoho users soon. Go on, ‘Work. Online’ with the Cr-48 and let us know how it goes 🙂

ps: Watch the Google team give a demo of the Chrome Notebook and its features:

  1. Got mine two weeks ago. Opened my front door and there was this box on the porch. Couldn’t figure out what it was. Agree with wpstudio. On the whole it’s a great machine. Miss not being able to load files from thumb drive directly on machine.

  5. Thank you Zoho very much for selecting me to be a recipient of the cr-48. I love it, and am having a great time with it. I will continue to use zoho apps for they greatly help me with my everyday tasks. Thanks again.

  7. After spending the last 48 hours with the CR-48, I had a few suggestions that would make working with the CR-48 and Zoho feel more “together”.1. I wish there was a better way to get a direct link to the Zoho “Dashboard” (the dashboard that’s buried inside Zoho Mail). This would be great as the startup page for all my work.2. Actually what I’d love even more is a specialized Zoho start page where I could customize all the different Zoho apps I want access to… Sort of like a combination of the Zoho Dashboard and an app launcher.3. I’m really hoping that future versions ChromeOS will support (and have) Java, because right now I’m unable to use Zoho Meetings.Things I love:
    1. I like how Zoho Writer and others work great with the Google Cloud Print2. Super fast on/off. Just close the laptop and then when you open the laptop it takes less than 1 second for me to be back working.3. The CR-48 is the perfect working partner for people who rely on Zoho apps to run their business. This is just my first impressions. I’ll write more when I spend more time with Zoho and the CR-48.

  9. My wife was scared to open the package because she didn’t know who sent it… so she left it for me when I got back from a biz travel. Loved the surprise. So far really liking the small form factor. First thing I did was go setup my access to all my zoho apps. Will take some getting used to with the touch/mouse area. I’ll probably use a small usb mouse.

  11. I am holding out hope. Zoho was my last chance, I fear… Signed up in December via Google but no luck there.

  13. I’m with Kathi. I registered, forgot all about it, and found it on my doorstep yesterday. The return address didn’t say it was from Google or Zoho or anything. It just had a mysterious address from Louisville. It was like a Christmas present only not as brightly packaged.

  15. Have the lucky people been informed already, or do we have to live in hope for a little longer..? :-(Great promotion either way guys, kudos to Google and Zoho.
