What is RFID? How is it different from barcode?
An RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) tag contains electronically stored information of a product. This RFID tag responds to an RFID scanner, when present within a specific range (up to several feet), automatically reads the data from it.
RFID scanning is not all that different from barcode scanning. The important aspect that gives RFID an edge over barcode is that you don’t have to point the scanner directly at the tag to read its information.
