How do recipient roles facilitate the signing process?
Not every recipient has the same role in the signing process, which is why Zoho Sign offers four distinct role options.
Needs to sign
You work for a legal team, and you need to send an agreement to a client for signature. In this case, you send the document to your client under the Need to sign option. This person is your primary signer.
In-person signer
You are currently in the room with your client's partner, and they can sign the document in your presence, so you add them as an In-person signer.
Approver
Your client needs to have this signed document approved by their CEO, who you add as an Approver.
Receives a copy
Finally, you send a copy of the signed document to your team by adding them under Receives a copy.
Signing order
It often becomes confusing when you have multiple signers who are required to sign the document at different stages. Zoho Sign remedies this with simple signing orders.
Sequential signing
You can set up a simple signing order so that each person signs the document only after the previous recipient has done so.
Parallel signing
Zoho Sign also supports parallel signing, where two or more signers can have the same signing order.
