Partner mapping
What is partner mapping?
Once you begin working with a Zoho Consulting Partner, your Zoho account will be mapped to their partner account. This means there will be visibility for Zoho, you, and the partner on which partner you are associated to and receiving services from. This process is called mapping.
Once you are mapped to a partner, you will be able to see the below message on your subscription management page.
What does it mean to be associated/mapped to a Zoho Partner and why is it required?
Being mapped to a Zoho Partner indicates that you are currently working with one of our licensed partners. Here's why every customer working with a Zoho Partner should be mapped to the Partner's profile:
Partner association - Being mapped to a Zoho Partner declares that you are associated with that Partner and could be using their services.
Manage partner relationship - Mapping your Zoho Partner to your customer account helps us keep track of your relationship. This helps our teams find accurate information about your journey as a Zoho customer and your Partner when required.
Context-setting for support teams- Mapping also enables us to offer timely and relevant assistance when you require it. For instance, when you raise an escalation against your partner, our Operations or Support team will be able to cross-check the history of your relationship and proceed with your request with the right context.
Receive first-level support - If you encounter any problems with your subscription or usage as a Zoho Partner customer, the Partner will be able to provide you with the first-level of assistance required.
Subscription management - Mapping a Zoho Partner to your account will also additionally allow the Partner to manage your subscription on your behalf, renew your subscription, add or remove users, and even purchase licenses on your behalf.
The mapping process, however, does not allow Partners to access your confidential business information.
At Zoho, our Partners are an extension of our brand, and working with a Zoho Partner has several benefits–accessing regional assistance, implementation assistance, migration assistance are just a few. You can read more about why you should work with a Zoho Partner on our website.
What level of access does a Zoho Consulting Partner get to my account once I am mapped to them?
Partner mapping is a process undertaken to meet the reasons mentioned above. While the partners will be able to view and manage your subscription, that's where their permissions end. Partners will not be able to access your account or your confidential business information.
How to get my account mapped to the partner that I am working with?
Once you start working with a Partner, your Partner can map you or you can initiate the process from your end by following the below steps:
Navigate to the services page and select the corresponding service.
Click the Tag Partner option.
Enter the Partner code (your Partner will help you out with this). Click Submit.
Your account should now be mapped to your Partner's account.
Note: You can use the above steps in case you want to map a new Partner, should you ever decide to switch from one Zoho Partner to another.
