Network Solutions - Add CNAME Records for Verification

If the DNS Manager for your domain is hosted with Network Solutions follow the below steps to add a CNAME and verify the domain.

  1. Log-in to your Network Solutions account >> Select Manage Account 
  2. Under 'My Domain Names' >> Click 'Edit DNS'
  3. Click 'Edit Advanced DNS Records' next to the domain you want to verify with Zoho Mail
  4. Scroll down to locate the CNAME Records (Host Aliases) section.
  5. Select 'Edit CNAME Records'
  6. Provide the zb****** code you generated in Zoho. 
  7. Select 'Other Host' radio button option.
  8. Provide "zmverify.zoho.com" in the 'Other Host' field
  9. Select Continue and Click Save Changes.

You have now added the CNAME successfully. You may have to wait for at least an hour for the changes to take effect in the DNS Servers. After an hour or two, log in to your Zoho Mail control panel and click Verify. Once your domain is verified, you can start adding users and creating mail accounts.

Update MX Records to receive emails - Network Solutions

If your DNS is hosted with Network Solutions, follow the instructions below to change the MX Records of your domain and receive emails.

  1. Log-in to your Network Solutions account >> Select Manage Account 
  2. Under 'My Domain Names' >> Click 'Edit DNS'
  3. Click 'Edit Advanced DNS Records' next to the domain you want to verify with Zoho Mail
  4. Scroll down to locate the Mail Servers (MX Records) subdivision,
  5. Click 'Edit MX Records'.
  6. Provide '10' in the Priority field.
  7. Specify 'mx.zoho.com' in the 'Mail Server' field.
  8. Add another MX record with priority as 20 and Mail server as mx2.zoho.com
  9. Similarly, add the last third MX Record with priority as 50 and Mail server as mx3.zoho.com .

    The MX values given above are based on the generic configuration information. For more specific configuration particular for your domain refer this section in the Admin Control Panel.

    Note:

    We recommend you to go through your DNS providers support documentation for the exact method to add the MX entries.

  10. Click Continue and Save Changes. 

Ensure that only the above 2 records are in the results to ensure correct email delivery.  In case you have the other MX records, you may not be able to receive emails in Zoho Mail.

You have successfully added MX records for your Network Solutions hosted domain. You can check the MX records from the third party tool www.mxtoolbox.com,  a third party tool to check the DNS records of a given domain.
