Enhance Accountability with Technician Signature in Service Reports 

The technician can now add their signature while creating a service report. In addition to adding a personal touch, the signature also serves to ensure accountability for the work performed. It also indicates that the technician has reviewed and approved the contents of the service report before it is finalized and submitted to the customer.

    • When you attempt to create a service appointment after your purchased appointments have been exhausted, the option to use appointment credits will be shown.
    • In the Overview tab of the Service Appointment Details screen, it will be indicated whether an appointment/work order is created by scheduled maintenance.
    • Ability to enter a negative value in the Adjustment field in the Create/Edit forms.

The following changes are available in the latest version (Version 2.0.0) of the FSM mobile (Android) app:

  • In the Overview tab of the Service Appointment Details screen, there are now Quick Actions using which the user can easily create records for Notes, Service Report, Trip, and Time Sheet without having to scroll to their respective tabs.
  • When a service report is edited, the user will now be informed about the attachments that have been deleted from the notes from which they were taken. They will be provided with the option to remove these deleted attachments.
  • When emailing estimates, invoices and service reports, you can now Cc and Bcc the users of your Zoho FSM organization with the Administrator profile.
  • User can now click links in the Description fields of service and part line items.
  • While adding attachments in a service report, you can now select the compression ratio.

The following changes are available in the latest version (Version 2.0.1) of the FSM mobile (iOS) app:

  • The user will be taken to the Details view when the user clicks on the service and part line items in the Services And Parts tab of the Estimate/Work Order/Service Appointment Details pages.
  • User can now click links in the Description fields of service and part line items.

  • In the Part lookup field of a work type, you can now perform a search using SKU.
  • The estimate, work order, and service appointment download/print templates will now include the Summary as well.
  • If a service appointment does not belong to the territory chosen in the Service Resources List, then the service appointment bar will have an orange patch on the top left corner.
  • Although the service appointments in the Cancelled and Cannot Complete status will be displayed in the Gantt view, you can schedule another service appointment during that time.

Appointment Credits

You will now get appointment credits when you purchase appointments. You will be able to use the credits when you have exhausted all of your purchased appointments for the Billing Cycle. Using credits, you can thus continue creating appointments without having to make a new purchase before the next renewal date.

  • UI changes have been made to the Invoices List, Generate Invoice, and Invoice Preview screens.

  • The Mark as Sent option is now available in the Invoice Preview screen.

  • Changes have been made to enforce the limits for adding line items (where applicable) and service reports.

  • An appropriate error message has been added to prevent an user with an unverified Zoho account from sending an estimate.

  • Changes have been made to ensure that only users with the appropriate permissions can add/edit service tasks.

  • If present, the child assets will also be listed in the Assets section in the Details screen of Requests, Estimates, Work Orders and Service Appointments.

  • In the Create/Edit/Search screens, wherever Contact, Company, or Asset lookup fields are present, an info icon will be shown next to them. When the user clicks on the info icon, more details of the lookup field will be shown.

    • UI changes have been done to the Trips tab in the Service Appointment Details screen

    • In the Service Appointment Details screen, all the trips undertaken for the service appointment will be listed instead of only those belonging to the logged in user.

  • From the Details pages of Work Orders, Estimates, etc, user can now click on a lookup field to navigate to its Details page.

  • In the Create Service Appointment screen, all the services in the Service field will be selected by default.

  • While emailing estimates or invoices, you can now choose the Contact email address, Email addresses of the Company's Contacts, or any email address entered by the user in the Email field of estimate/invoice.

  • You now have the option to even select FSM users as salesperson while creating an invoice.

  • You can now use custom fields of type URL.

  • The search results for lookup fields will now be sorted.

  • In the Create/Edit screens of Request/Estimate/Work Order, the addresses from Zoho Books/Invoice will also be listed in the Service/Billing Address lookup fields.

  • Only for the appropriate values of Do you sell your items at rates inclusive of Tax? will the text *includes tax, will be shown for the service line items.

  • When user tries to use the camera while adding/editing notes or using the scanner feature, they will be prompted to provide the camera permission.

  • Custom fields added to Invoices from Zoho Books/Invoice can now be used in the mobile app. Custom field of type Multi- select added from Zoho Books can also be used now in the mobile app.

  • The default tax label is not removed even when the contact or company value is not present. This issue has been fixed.

  • The options to skip/save are visible along with the input popup to capture the signature. This issue has been fixed.

  • A deactivated user is able log in. This issue has been fixed.

  • User is unable to use the turn-by-turn navigation in Apple Maps. This issue has been fixed.

  • In the Details screen, whenever secondary actions are not present the primary action button is also not shown. This issue has been fixed.

  • When the Lat/Long value is not present, there are UI issues in the Overview tab of the Service Appointment Details screen. This issue has been fixed.

  • In the Create/Edit Service Report wizard, even when the user skips a section, the values in the section are saved. This issue has been fixed.

  • When the date format is changed in the organization profile from the web app, it is not reflected in the mobile app. This issue has been fixed.

  • In the US and Australia editions, tax rules handled for cases when there are no tax available for the Contact, Company, and Service/Part records.

  • A slew of changes related to profile permissions have been rolled out:

    • New permissions have been added - Email Template, Sender Email, Other Settings, Two way sync logs, Service Report Customization, General Permissions, Change Owner

    • Only users with the Admin profile can modify the settings governed by the General Permissions. These permissions will now govern the ability to modify the organizational settings.

    • New permission called Edit Line Items has been added to the Work Orders permission. This permission is required to edit the line items of a work order.

    • The Start Work of Service Appointments permission will drive the actions Start Work, and Resume Work in the line items. Similarly, the Complete Work of Service Appointments permission will drive the actions Partially Complete, and Complete Work in the line items.

    • The Create, and Edit of Time Sheets permission and the Start Work of the Service Appointments permission is interdependent. Similarly, the Edit of the Time Sheets permission, and the Complete Work of the Service Appointments permission is interdependent.

    • The Time Off permission is essential for viewing the Dispatch Console.

    • The User Location permission is essential for viewing the Maps view of the Dispatch Console.

Clone Service Reports - Save Time and Ensure Accuracy

A cloned service report can now be generated, which comprises all particulars of the initial report, including the customer's signature. Cloning a service report can save time and it ensures that all necessary information is included in the new report and reduces the risk of errors or omissions.

Signature Support in Service Report

In the web application, it is now possible to include a signature in a service report. When creating a service report, you can choose to draw the signature or upload it as a file in the Customer Feedback step.
