What's new in Zoho POS

We now support Income TDS (Tax Deducted at Source) and TCS (Tax Collected at Source), helping you stay compliant with taxation requirements. These options can be easily accessed and configured under Settings → Direct Taxes.

We have now introduced an Import Item Images option, designed to manage item images efficiently. Instead of uploading images one by one, you can now upload them in bulk by organizing the images in folders named after each item’s SKU, then converting the folders into a ZIP file, and finally importing the ZIP file directly into Zoho POS. This significantly reduces manual effort and ensures a faster, more consistent way of maintaining item images.

You can now define which fields should be used to fetch item or customer details, such as SKU, item name, ISBN, HSN, or other identifiers, and arrange them in the exact order you prefer. This ensures that when an item is searched or scanned, the system looks up details in the chosen sequence, making searches more accurate and efficient. In addition, you can customize which item details are displayed in the cart, giving you better control over the checkout experience. These options streamline searches, speed up billing, and deliver a smoother checkout experience.

You can now create customizable roles with specific access permissions and assign them to any user within the organization. This flexibility ensures that users have access only to the functions relevant to their job responsibilities. For example, a cashier may need access only to the Windows and mobile POS application for billing, while a store manager may require full access to both web and POS applications.

We renamed In-store Payments to Payment Options to provide better clarity and enhance accessibility. This setting has also been relocated for easier access from Settings → Payments → In-Store Payments to Point of Sale → Customization → Payment Options.

You can now get a complete view of billing activity with the Sales by Session report. Track session times, user activity, payment modes, and cash flow details with ease. The report can be grouped, customized, and exported to fit your business needs.

Users with the admin role can now record any missed Cash In/Out transactions and modify the closing cash amount from the session overview page even after a session has closed. These options ensure accurate session records and support more thorough auditing by capturing any unaccounted transactions.

You can now check your subscription-related details and usage statistics for users, registers, sales orders, sales invoices, and more in the Subscription module under Settings. It helps businesses stay informed about their usage and avoid potential conflicts.

A picklist is a document assigned to warehouse staff that lists the items and quantities to be picked from a specific warehouse to fulfill customer orders. This feature streamlines the pickup process and improves accuracy. If required, you can enable this module under Settings → Preferences → General.

You can now associate multiple merchant IDs with your payment gateways and assign them to different terminals. Each terminal can collect payments independently, with transactions routed to the respective bank accounts linked to each merchant ID.

We enhanced the item barcode generation by including batch numbers in the batch generation field. You can now generate barcodes for items based on their batch numbers and add them to customers' invoices and orders effortlessly.

We introduced online payments to collect payments directly from mobile stores. We also introduced the Multi-Pickup Station so you can provide your customers with multiple locations to pick up orders placed through your mobile store.

You can now download or print your generated, canceled, and expired e-Way bills and have them during transportation of goods if required.

This report allows you to understand the utilization of IM credits for each WhatsApp notification and manage your future usage accordingly.

You can now configure Zoho POS to read barcodes generated via weighing machines with the embedded barcode feature.

You can now track activities performed in the e-Way platform to verify the accuracy of data, including who made the changes, when they were made, and what specific modifications occurred to detect potential errors, fraudulent activity, or unauthorized access to sensitive information.

You can now create a purchase receive and verify whether all services included in their purchase orders have been fulfilled or not.

We now support custom fields for overwriting imports. To overwrite existing data, the custom field needs to be unique and should match the data in the import file.

We now support Transaction Posting Date in the bill's field customization. This is the date on which the bill will be posted in your financial accounting ledger.

We now support barcode scanning for sales returns and sales return receives. Items can be added via a barcode scanner for creating sales returns and sales return receives.

To improve the accuracy and traceability of transactions, the session prefixes can now be defined at the register level rather than at the organization level.

We made some minor enhancements to the Reports interface to improve the overall user experience. We have also introduced a filter bar with appropriate filters to every report. This filter bar can now help you filter out unwanted data and generate a custom report based on your requirements.

We now provide support to export vendor statements in bulk. You can export a maximum of 2,500 vendor statements in a single tap.

We now provide support for payment reminder notifications through the WhatsApp integration. Like other templates, you need to enable, create, and get it approved by WhatsApp before sending it to customers.

We introduced sessions to help you track cash flows that happen during a salesperson's shift. This will help you track the opening cash, closing cash with denominations, summary of sales, refunds, discounts offered, and discrepancies occurred during their shift.

We introduced the e-Way bill, a digitally generated document mandated by the Indian government for the transportation of goods under certain conditions. You can now generate e-Way bills with Zoho POS by simply entering the transporter's information, while the rest of the information is automatically fetched.

We introduced the delivery challan, a legal document necessary for transporting goods from one location to another, which may or may not result in sales. You can create and track them according to their status, such as draft, open, delivered, or returned, and convert them to an invoice if necessary.

This report can help you simplify the process of reconciling customer accounts by providing a clear view of outstanding credit balances.

We added Worldline payment provider to the list of payment providers, enhancing the payment options for Zoho POS. This integration supports electronic data capture (EDC) payments.

We now provide support to send bulk WhatsApp notifications to customers. You can send notifications to up to 25 contacts at a time.

We now provide support to configure UPI IDs in invoice QR codes. You can use this feature to collect payments from your customers by just sharing their invoice as a PDF.
