The company

Light & Glo Fragrances is a multi award-winning fragrance company specialising in scents designed for relaxation, meditation, and energy. The brand is the brainchild of doctors and husband and wife duo—Suji and Jeeva—who have minds for alchemy. Grounded in aromatherapy, Light & Glo's carefully blended, premium fragrances don't just smell amazing, but help one relax, refresh, revitalise, and reignite their senses.

Light & Glo's sister company, BrandScent, specialises in scent marketing,  a unique offering where the team creates signature scents for brands all over the world. BrandScent has created memorable brand associations that transform consumer experiences for name brands like Arnotts, Mimosa, American Express, Hodges, and Zoho.

The challenge

Initially, Light & Glo faced significant challenges: The founders, managing a growing family with young children, needed to transition from traditional employment to running a full-time business. As the company began to grow rapidly, scaling from 100% to 150% in its early years, the manual processes they used to manage their data and operations became a major bottleneck. They relied heavily on Excel spreadsheets and Word documents, leading to inefficiencies, customer dissatisfaction, and internal frustration. The lack of a streamlined system hindered their ability to manage time effectively, which is critical for a business with high growth and a small, overextended team.

The solution

  • Centralised data management: Light & Glo consolidated customer information, streamline communication, and reduce manual data entry. The integration with Gmail automatically populates CRM with customer details, making it easier to manage interactions efficiently.
  • E-commerce integration: Integrating Zoho CRM with Shopify was key for Light & Glo to track online orders automatically. This allowed for effective re-targeting and better customer relationship management.
  • Inventory and order management: As a manufacturer, efficient inventory management is crucial. The integration between Zoho Inventory and Zoho CRM streamlined inventory management, ensuring accurate and timely order fulfilment.
  • Lead capture and conversion: QR codes linked to Zoho Forms, at trade shows and events enabled Light & Glo to capture leads effortlessly. This data was fed into the CRM, allowing for targeted follow-ups and improved lead conversion rates.
  • Performance tracking: Zoho CRM provided dashboards for monitoring key performance indicators, such as lead capture, conversion rates, customer satisfaction, and revenue.
