ManageEngine goes SaaS on Zoho's Framework

ManageEngine, a sister brand of Zoho is now offering one of its applications as an on-demand service.

AdventNet,

the parent company of Zoho has several brands serving different

markets. While Zoho focuses on Online productivity & business

applications, ManageEngine focuses on providing downloadable products

to IT Departments.

Zoho picked up some technology from ManageEngine to launch Site 24x7, Zoho Status (http://status.zoho.com) etc, now ManageEngine is using Cloud Computing framework that Zoho built over the past few years to launch its first application - OpManager - as an on-demand service.   Additional information on this announcement is available here.

This

technology sharing between these two divisions of AdventNet is

important as we will see some Zoho Apps integrated into ManageEngine

products and some ManageEngine applications could make their way into

Zoho's portfolio.

Zoho wants to be the IT Departments for SMBs.

But if you have an IT Department, ManageEngine's OpManager can help you

manage servers, Networking gear, desktops & applications for your

business.

At Zoho, we use most of ManageEngine tools to manage our own data center. Now, the same technology is available either as a product or as an on-demand service. A demo of ManageEngine's OpManager offering is available here.

ManageEngine applications are currently used by 35,000+ companies around the world.

We welcome ManageEngine to the Cloud Computing arena.
