Zoho Annotator Extension Privacy Statement

What information Zoho Annotator collects and stores

By default, Zoho Annotator collects and stores extension specific information such as version number, new features used status, and 'Action After Capture' preference. Other than those information that are collected and stored by default, Zoho Annotator does not store any data until you connect/link Zoho Annotator with any of the Zoho Services or third-party services such as Google Drive, OneDrive, and Dropbox ("Third Party Services"). Once you link Zoho Annotator with Zoho Services or Third Party Services, Zoho Annotator stores the following information.

Connected information such as oauth token, expiry time and tenant ID (only for OneDrive) in order to fetch and send captured images to the respective services.
Account information such as account name, email address, Zoho User ID, profile image URL in order to display in the profile menu.

Where we store the collected information

All the collected information will be stored only in your browser's local storage.

Except for profile related information, other information will be used to upload and share the captured or annotated image with the connected services that are authenticated by you.

Without your permission, no information is sent to connected Zoho Service or Third Party Services. Stored information will be automatically cleared when you remove Zoho Annotator extension from your browser or disconnect from the connected Zoho Service or Third Party Service.

Also, all actions performed by Zoho Annotator such as drawing, cropping and smudging are performed in your browser without server-side dependency. Those annotated data and the captured images will be temporarily available in your browser. Once you reload or close the browser tab, such information will be cleared.

Sharing and Uploading Annotated Images

Zoho Annotator allows you to share/upload captured and annotated images in Zoho Services and Third Party Services. Also, it allows you to share the annotated image URL with social media services and other websites/applications. Your interactions with such Third Party Services, social media services and other websites/applications are governed by the respective privacy policies.
