# How do I add the VAT Registration Number to my customers in Zoho Books?

To add VAT Registration Number to your customers, you enable VAT for your organization in Settings.

Once enabled, you can add VAT Registration Number to your customers. Here’s how:

*   Go to _Sales_ on the left sidebar and select **Customers**.
*   Select the customer for whom you want to add the VAT registration number, and click **Edit** at the top of the customer’s _Details_ page.
    *   If you’re creating a new customer, click **\+ New** in the top right corner of the page. In the _New Customer_ page, enter the other required details.
*   Under _Other Details_, select **VAT Registered** as the _VAT Treatment_.
*   Enter the customer’s VAT Registration Number. You can also click **Validate TIN** below this field to validate if the customer’s VAT number is correct.
*   Enter the other required details and click **Save**.

The VAT registration number will be added for your customer.
