# How do I create a purchase credit note in Zoho Books?

You can create purchase credit notes which are called vendor credits in Zoho Books. To do this:

*   Go to **Purchases** from the left sidebar and click **Bills**.
*   Select the bill for which you want to create a vendor credit.
*   Click **More** from the top right corner of the page.
*   Click **Create Vendor Credit**.
*   Click **Proceed** on the following popup.
*   Enter the necessary details in the vendor credit create page and click **Save**.

**Pro Tip:** If you do not have a bill number and wish to create credits for a particular vendor, you can do it from the [Vendor Credits](https://www.zoho.com/books/help/vendor-credits/basic-functions.html#create-vc) module.
