What is number porting?
Number porting is the process of transferring an existing phone number from one telecom provider to another. Number porting involves verification of documents and configuration changes on the provider’s end, so it can take up to 4 weeks.

How do I port my number to Zoho Voice?
Give us your details
Send an email to us at support@zohovoice.com so we can collect necessary information from you, like your phone number, country, city, current provider, and the type of number—local or toll-free.
Wait for a feasibility test
Once you give us all the required information about your number, we’ll send it to our provider to check the feasibility of porting your number. This usually takes 1 or 2 weeks. Please do not cancel your subscription with your current provider until it is completely ported. You need to keep ownership of that number until the transfer is completed.
Fill in the porting form and confirm porting
If your number can be ported to Zoho Voice, we’ll send you a number porting form. Fill it out and send it back to us. This confirms your request, at which point we’ll initiate the porting process. Please note that some countries require a local address or a local address proof document.
Port your number and start calling
Number porting usually takes two weeks, and in some complex cases, up to four weeks. Once your number is ported to Zoho Voice, we’ll add it to your account, so you can start making calls right away. The number that you port to Zoho Voice also has a monthly recurring charge for number handling. This charge is based on the country to which the number belongs.
