Yes, data submitted through Zoho Vault SecureForms is as secure as adding it directly to the vault. An encryption key is generated on the client-side, outside the user interface, using our algorithms, and is used to encrypt the submitted data. This key is then encrypted with the recipient’s public key embedded in the URL form and securely transmitted via the API. When the form owner logs into their vault, they decrypt the key using their private key to access the submitted information.
Currently, SecureForms allows you to collect passwords and payment card details. Soon, you'll also be able to collect passkeys, documents, and other sensitive information safely. Check our release notes for more updates.
After the super admin or admin toggles the feature to ON in the Zoho Vault fine-grained controls page, there are no other prerequisites for this feature to work.
The Professional plan supports up to three active forms per user, while the Enterprise plan allows up to five. To create more forms beyond these limits, you’ll need to delete an existing form or reach out to support@zohovault.com for assistance.
