How can I record subscriptions that have been created before I joined Zoho Subscriptions?
If you’ve been tracking your subscriptions using pen and paper in the past or you’ve already started accepting orders before joining Zoho Subscriptions, you can bring in all those subscriptions inside Zoho Subscriptions by creating a subscription for each subscription. This is called as creating a backdated subscription.
Creating a backdated subscription is like creating any other subscriptions in Zoho Subscriptions. While creating a subscription from the admin console, all you have to do is select the date (past date) in the Starts On field on which the subscription was activated.
Points to Note:
- No information on renewals or payments recorded will be available for backdated subscriptions.
- Backdating a subscription affects only the subscription activation date and can be tracked under Reports tab.
- No invoice will be generated for past subscription creation and renewals.
- Invoices will be generated for subscription renewals happening in the current time period after creating the backdated subscription.
