How do I switch my customer’s payment method from a credit card to their bank account, and vice versa?

To switch your customer’s payment method that’s used for auto-charge, you will have to delete the current payment method first. Learn how.

Insight: This is only if you want to switch between a bank account and a credit card. If you just want to change the credit card that’s used for auto-charge, you don’t need to delete the current payment method. Learn more.

Next, you need to add your customer’s new payment method. Once, you’ve added your customer’s new payment method, you should associate it to their subscription. To do this:

  • Go to the Subscriptions module from the left sidebar.
  • Find the subscription for which you deleted the payment method.
  • Click Associate Payment Method.
  • Select the newly added payment method.

Now, this payment method will be used for auto-charging this subscription in the future.
