What if I need to make changes to an approved payroll?
Once a payroll is approved in Zoho Payroll, it cannot be edited or deleted.
If you need to make corrections after approval, you’ll have to wait until the payroll is completed, and then record any adjustments in a future pay run. For example, through additional earnings or deductions. This ensures payroll records and tax filings remain accurate.
To help avoid errors, Zoho Payroll includes a built-in Pay Run Approval Flow (available in select pricing plans), which adds an extra layer of review:
- Users without approval permission must submit the payroll for approval, after which an authorized user will review and approve it.
- Users with approval permission can submit and approve the payroll in a single step.
