What do I do when the filing status and withholding allowance of my employees change?
An employee’s tax situation might change with a major personal life event like a marriage, or when they have kids. You can edit their tax withholding details by following the steps below:
- click the Employee section from the left navigation pane.
- Click the employee you wish to change the filing status.
- Under the Taxes and Exemptions tab, click the Edit icon near the section you wish to update.
- Hit Save.
Note: These changes will not be reflected in pay runs that are currently in the draft or approved stage.
