# How can I understand the true cost of items I have purchased?

Use the **Landed Cost Summary** report (Inventory Valuation category). It shows the additional costs — such as freight, insurance, and import duties — allocated to each item in your bills, on top of the purchase price. This gives you the full landed cost of your inventory.
