# How does the stock update occur in Shopify?

Stock gets updated to Shopify from Zoho Inventory during the following instances -

*   When a Sales Order in Zoho Inventory(manual order or online order) gets confirmed.
*   When shipments are created.
*   When Receives are created from Purchase Orders.
