Configuring SMS Notifications

Note: This feature is currently available only for the organizations in the Indian edition of Zoho Expense.

SMS Notifications allow you to send SMS messages to your employees and keep them informed about the reports and approval. Once you’ve enabled SMS notifications, you will be able to enable and disable the different types of SMS notification.

In Zoho Expense, you can configure different types of SMS notifications you send out to your employees.

Notification Type Module Notifications will be sent to When will users be notified?
Report Submission Reports Approvers The approver will be notified when a submitter submits the report to the approver.
Report Approval Reports Submitters The submitter will be notified when an approver approves the report.
Report Rejection Reports Submitters The submitter will be notified when an approver rejects the report.
Approval Reminder Reports Approvers The approver will be notified 2 days before the due date to remind them to approve or reject the report.

Enable and Disable SMS Notifications

  1. Switch to Admin View.
  2. Go to Settings on the left sidebar.
    (OR)
    Click the Gear icon at the top right side.
  3. Go to Modules under Customization.
  4. Toggle the Status to enable or disable an SMS notification. Configuring SMS notifications

Pro Tip: You can preview the SMS notification that will be sent to your employees' mobile phones. Click the Preview icon next to the content to view the SMS notification.
