How do I find the outstanding amount that customers owe me?

When a financial year comes to an end, it is important to follow up and clear any payments that your customers have not made yet. The Customer Balances report in Zoho Books helps to find out if any of your customers are having outstanding balances.

To view customer balances:

  • Go to Reports from the left sidebar and select Customer Balances report under the Receivables section.
  • You can view the outstanding balances, if any, along with the customer name and available credits.
  • Click the date range dropdown on the top left corner and select Previous Year/This year to filter your report.

A report will be generated that contains your customers’ outstanding balances either for the previous financial year or for the current financial year accordingly.

You can also click the Export As dropdown and select a file format to export the report.
