How do I include additional information in the emails sent to my customers?

Prerequisite: If you’re adding custom fields as placeholders in the email template and haven’t provided a value for the custom fields in the transaction, you won’t be able to send the email. To send it, remove any custom fields without values.

You can add additional information to an email by using placeholders in both the subject and body of an email template. Here’s how:

  • Go to Settings in the top right corner.
  • Select Email Notifications under Reminders & Notifications.
  • Select the email template in which you want to add the additional information in the Emails pane.
  • Click Show Mail Content below the email template.
  • To add additional information to the email’s subject, click the textbox next to Subject, click the Insert Placeholders dropdown, and select the required placeholders.
  • Click Save.

The emails you send to your customers will now contain the additional information you’ve included.
