Why am I not able to customize the Bills Details report using reporting tags even though I’ve added reporting tags to the items in the bills?

In Zoho Books, you can associate reporting tags with items in a bill. Therefore, it is not possible to customize the Bills Details report using reporting tags.

However, since the reporting tags are associated with items, you can customize the Payable Details report using reporting tags. You have the option to group the bills based on reporting tags and add filters related to them.
