# When do I get in-app notifications in Zoho Books?

You will receive two types of in-app notifications in Zoho Books:

*   [Notifications regarding actions performed in your organization](/us/books/kb/general/in-app-notifications.html#notifications)

### Announcements From Zoho Books

You can view all the announcements sent from Zoho Books in the **Announcements** tab in the _Home_ page. This includes webinars, surveys and other activities conducted by Zoho Books.

### Notifications Regarding Actions Performed in Your Organization

You mighty receive in-app notifications for the following:

#### Customer activities in customer portal

You will be notified whenever your customers:

*   View a quote, invoice, sales order, retainer invoice or credit note.
*   Comment on a quote, invoice, retainer invoice, sales order, or credit note.
*   Accept or decline a quote.
*   Pay for an invoice or a retainer invoice.

#### Approvals

*   **Approver:** When a submitter submits a transaction for approval.
*   **Submitter:** When the approver approves or rejects a transaction.

When a workflow rule is executed and the immediate action configured is an in-app notification.

When a signal is triggered and you are the a recipient.
