Is it possible to have duplicates of customers or vendors with the same display name?

Yes, the option to allow duplicates of customers and vendors with the same display name is enabled by default.

If you want to disable it:

  • Go to Settings in the top right corner of the page.
  • Select Customers and Vendors under Preferences.
  • Uncheck the Allow duplicates for customer and vendor display name option.
  • Click Save.
